About Mark Fishlowitz
Professionalism & Presence
In a time when much of the industry has shifted toward remote work and more casual norms, I continue to believe that professionalism matters. I show up to my office every day prepared, focused, and respectful of the responsibility entrusted to me.
That means being present, arriving early, and maintaining the same level of professionalism whether or not I have client meetings scheduled. I believe how I show up reflects how seriously I take my clients’ time, money, and trust.
This approach is simple, but it is intentional. My clients deserve consistency, attention, and respect, and that is what I strive to provide every day.
I founded First Street Wealth Management to provide thoughtful, disciplined financial guidance in a world that often rewards noise over clarity.
I have spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry, helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their money. Over that time, I have learned that long-term success is rarely about chasing trends or reacting to headlines. It is about planning carefully, staying diversified, and remaining disciplined through changing markets.
After many years with Edward Jones, I chose to operate independently through Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. so I could expand the services and products available to clients while maintaining the transparency and focus they expect. That transition allows me to incorporate a wider range of investment, income, insurance, and planning strategies when appropriate, always with clear explanations and careful due diligence.
My approach is straightforward and deliberate. I take the time to understand how investments are managed, how strategies behave in real-world conditions, and how each decision fits into a client’s broader financial picture. You will never be pushed toward something you do not understand, and every recommendation is grounded in research, experience, and purpose.
Education and communication have always been central to my work. I hold a degree in business administration and studied American Sign Language interpreting earlier in my career. Before entering financial services, I worked as a producer for the Braille Institute, an experience that shaped my belief in accessibility, clarity, and meeting people where they are.
I have also completed advanced coursework in Alternative Investments through Harvard Business School, expanding expertise in private markets, hedge strategies, real assets, and diversified portfolio design for high-net-worth investors.
Outside of work, I am deeply involved in my community. I serve as a volunteer deputy with my local sheriff’s department and have spent years supporting nonprofit organizations, including founding and leading a youth-focused nonprofit in partnership with the LAPD. These experiences reinforce the importance of responsibility, service, and trust, values that also guide my work as an advisor.
At First Street Wealth Management, I work directly with my clients and keep my practice intentionally focused. I believe that clear guidance, honest conversations, and steady leadership matter more than scale or flash. My role is to help you navigate uncertainty with confidence and build a financial plan that holds up over time.
